The enemy’s G9 Sports site: None

Oh, sure, you might think that a game against the lowliest team in the Western Conference would be the confidence-booster the Blackhawks need to back on track, but let’s just remember one thing:

Those 40 points the Oilers have? 4 of those came from playing the Blackhawks. The Blackhawks got spanked 7-4 at home on October 29th, and then wrecked a chance of home redemption by losing 2-1 on November 7th. Fortunately for the Blackhawks, their first visit to Rexall Place this season ended in a 5-0 victory, including a hat trick for Jonathan Toews — their fifth straight victory in Edmonton’s barn. I still wouldn’t take the Oilers lightly — they’re just coming off of a shutout victory over the Nashville Predators and are looking for their own shot at redemption at home.

Injury Report

CHI: Forwards John Scott (flu-like symptoms) and Ryan Johnson (lower-body injury) are listed as questionable for tonight.

EDM: Forward Gilbert Brule (bruised abdomen and ankle injury) is on injured reserve.

Patrick Kane, CHI: “Like Duncan [Keith] said, you get bodies to the net — we did a lot [of it] last year — you see the results you have. It’s tough for any goalie to play against that traffic.” (ESPN Chicago)

Devan Dubnyk, EDM: “I’ll continue to work regardless of what the situation is, but that would be great. If you ask any goalie, we all want to play and I’m no different. I’ve got to earn every start I get.” (
