The Blackhawks look to wrap up their six game road trip with a .500 record tonight with a win against the Phoenix Coyotes. The Coyotes however are on a 3 game win streak and look to keep that moment rolling into tonight’s game. The Blackhawks are coming off an awful game in which they gave up a 3-0 lead to Dallas and lost in a shootout. Another bad collapse in a game the Blackhawks just couldn’t close out for the win and also managed to acquire injuries to three forwards.

Corey Crawford is back in net. Marian Hossa is back as well. He’ll be on a line with Tomas Kopecky and newest Blackhawk, Michael Frolik. The Blackhawks could certainly use a successful European connection.

Jeff Taffe is set to make his season debut with the Blackhawks being called up as a result of the multiple injuries last night.

A 3-2-1 trip would be a much better result than 2-2-2 or 2-3-1. Get it done Hawks.

Injury Report

CHI: Forward Marian Hossa (flu) is back in tonight, while forward Jake Dowell (flu) is out. Forward Fernando Pisani (upper-body injury) is out as well. Forward Viktor Stalberg (shoulder) is a game-time decision, while forward Ryan Johnson (upper-body) was placed on injured reserve.

PHX: Defenseman Ed Jovanski (upper-body injury) is day-to-day, while Defenseman David Schlemko (head) is out.

Jonathan Toews, CHI: “We can go back and work our balls off on that power play, really show them up for hurting one of our players and we don’t.We were satisfied. It was a terrible power play and one thing led to another and they find a way to come back.” (CSN Chicago)

Vernon Fiddler, PHX: “You see the guys are really energized around here, and a three-game winning streak can do that to a team. We want to run with this streak as long as we can and not look back.” (
