Your effort on Thursday was piss-poor to say the least. I understand that you guys were gassed. Bickell didn’t play, defense is still short-handed, and I’m not understanding why Stan Bowman still hasn’t put Hendry on injured reserve, at the very least (he’s gone for six months, bro — I think that constitutes LTIR to me) to free up some cap space so the team can get some help. (Thank God the Blackhawks brought up Ben Smith, but they still need to bring up a D-man, I think. Unless he’s planning to keep John Scott on D until Campbell comes back. And then I’d question his sanity.)
That still doesn’t mean you let a team like the Stars score on you five times. Absolutely the worst game of the entire year from just about everyone on the team not named Ryan Johnson (who continues to be a boss no matter what the circumstances).
So here we are again with another game that you need to win.
Could you win? Could you please, for the love of little green apples, win this very important game?
For your sake.
For my sake.
For my poor, abused liver’s sake.
WIN, you jerks!
Chicago lost against Dallas 5-0 on Thursday
Phoenix won against Vancouver 3-1 on Friday

Jonathan Toews, CHI: “We knew this would be one of the toughest games of the year and had one of the worst performances. No excuses. We shouldn’t forget this too quickly.” (nhl.com)
Dave Tippett, PHX: “It was a great trip. I give our guys a ton of credit. They battled hard every game.” (nhl.com)
