On Wednesday, the Rockford IceHogs announced the dates for their preseason schedule. There are three games for the Hogs and they’re all against Midwest Division rivals.

Rockford begins its season warm-up on Wednesday, October 3rd in Rolling Meadows as they take on the Chicago Wolves at 7:00 p.m.

The next night–Thursday, October 4th–the Hogs host the Milwaukee Admirals at the BMO Harris Bank Center. According to the official IceHogs press release about the preseason schedule, fans can get free tickets to the game if they cut out and turn in a coupon from the Rockford Register Star to the BMO box office from September 28th until the night of the game.

The Hogs finish out their preseason in Peoria on Saturday, October 6th as they take on the Rivermen. In the 2011-12 preseason when the two teams met at the BMO, the game finished in a sixteen round shootout. Defenseman David Shields scored the game winner for the Rivs in that contest.
