February was a great month for the IceHogs as they went 9-0-1-1. They were looking to keep their momentum rolling into March as they headed down to Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma City Barons to end week 22 of the AHL schedule. To start week 23, the Hogs faced off against the Rochester Americans back home at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford.
The IceHogs played in three Midwest Division games to end week 21 and begin week 22 of the AHL schedule. Two of the three games were at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford as the IceHogs took on the Chicago Wolves and the Milwaukee Admirals. The other contest saw the IceHogs travel to Iowa to take on the Wild.
The IceHogs finished week 16 with a Saturday match-up against a Midwest Division rival and began week 17 with a Martin Luther King Day matinee showdown against one of the top teams in the Western Conference.
The IceHogs took on the Charlotte Checkers down in the Queen City during week 10 of the AHL schedule. While it wasn’t a completely perfect trip, it was still a very successful one for the visitors.
The IceHogs finished up week 9 of the AHL schedule, along with the extended Thanksgiving weekend—with home-and-home match-ups against their I-90 rivals, the Chicago Wolves. These 2 games had a little of everything, including flying teddy bears and hats, as well as a Rockford victory.
The IceHogs finished out week 8 of the AHL season with 2 games on the road and then began week 9 with a home contest against their Midwest division rivals to the north.
The IceHogs closed out week 7 of the AHL season with back-to-back games. The Hogs were then slated to play a mid-week match-up against the Abbotsford Heat to kick off week 8.
The IceHogs looked to pick up 4 divisional points this past weekend against the Iowa Wild as they played at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford back-to-back nights. Unfortunately, the Hogs fell short of that goal.
The IceHogs had a very important stretch of games in the past week as they were slated to play 4 games in 6 days. It was a good opportunity for them to pick up some big points, especially against Midwest Division rivals Milwaukee and Grand Rapids. Unfortunately for the Hogs, the week didn’t go according to plan.
The IceHogs wrapped up week 4 of the AHL schedule with two games at the BMO Harris Bank Center this past weekend. The Hogs were riding on momentum from their 3 point Canada trip from earlier in the week into their contests with Charlotte and Texas on Saturday and Sunday.
