The IceHogs had a very important stretch of games in the past week as they were slated to play 4 games in 6 days. It was a good opportunity for them to pick up some big points, especially against Midwest Division rivals Milwaukee and Grand Rapids. Unfortunately for the Hogs, the week didn’t go according to plan.

The IceHogs wrapped up week 4 of the AHL schedule with two games at the BMO Harris Bank Center this past weekend. The Hogs were riding on momentum from their 3 point Canada trip from earlier in the week into their contests with Charlotte and Texas on Saturday and Sunday.

After their home game against the Texas Stars on November 27th, the IceHogs found themselves on a three game road trip that started in Chicago and finished in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina.
This afternoon, the American Hockey League announced the new division alignments for both the Western and Eastern Conferences. The IceHogs are affected by the realignment as the Charlotte Checkers leave the Midwest Division after just one season and the Grand Rapids Griffins slide in.
