The IceHogs looked to pick up 4 divisional points this past weekend against the Iowa Wild as they played at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford back-to-back nights. Unfortunately, the Hogs fell short of that goal.

Week 2 of the AHL 2013-14 schedule featured the IceHogs travelling to Cleveland to take on the Lake Erie Monsters on October 11th and 12th. The Hogs swept all 4 games against the Monsters last season and they were looking to start off on the right foot to repeat the feat.

The 2013-14 AHL season officially started for the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday night as they rolled on down to Texas to take on San Antonio. In typical AHL fashion, the IceHogs were right back at it the next day as they took on the Texas Stars in Cedar Park, Texas.

Week 26 featured 4 games for the Rockford IceHogs and they were all against Midwest Division opponents—well, they were split between 2 teams in the division, the Milwaukee Admirals and the Peoria Rivermen. The IceHogs needed to bring home a solid 8 of 8 points to keep themselves in contention for the 8th and final place in the Western Conference. They did just that.

Don’t look now, folks, but the IceHogs have strung some wins together and are smack-dab in the middle of a legitimate push for the playoffs. *Knocks on wood* Week 21 brought two more gargantuan Midwest Division games to the BMO Harris Bank Center in which the Hogs needed all of the points that they could get.
Week 15 was essentially another must-win week for the IceHogs. Two divisional games (surprise, surprise) were on tap for Rockford, along with a Monday matinee with an opponent from the South to start week 16. These three games in four nights featured events that everyone loves: many goals and a bench-clearing brawl.

After the Christmas break, week 12 held two home games for the IceHogs against divisional opponents. The beginning of week 13 also held an important divisional game as the Hogs battled for sole possession of first place.
