The IceHogs finished up week 9 of the AHL schedule, along with the extended Thanksgiving weekend—with home-and-home match-ups against their I-90 rivals, the Chicago Wolves. These 2 games had a little of everything, including flying teddy bears and hats, as well as a Rockford victory.

The IceHogs looked to pick up 4 divisional points this past weekend against the Iowa Wild as they played at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford back-to-back nights. Unfortunately, the Hogs fell short of that goal.

The IceHogs had a very important stretch of games in the past week as they were slated to play 4 games in 6 days. It was a good opportunity for them to pick up some big points, especially against Midwest Division rivals Milwaukee and Grand Rapids. Unfortunately for the Hogs, the week didn’t go according to plan.

The 2013-14 AHL season officially started for the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday night as they rolled on down to Texas to take on San Antonio. In typical AHL fashion, the IceHogs were right back at it the next day as they took on the Texas Stars in Cedar Park, Texas.
The Blackhawks games you can feel pretty okay with missing or only half-watching if you have other things to do, like wrapping presents or folding laundry. Note: This includes a lot of Minnesota Wild and Dallas Stars games.
